How To Earn Money By Re-uploading Videos On YouTube

Introduction

YouTube is a platform that can be used to promote your video content and bring traffic to your other media platforms. You can create viral video content that can be monetized. Also, you could use animation or a slideshow with a voice-over to spread your message to your audience.

However, this method of creating content and making money on YouTube is either costly, slow, or both. It is quite expensive because you’ll need a huge capital to produce video and audio content. Most YouTubers spend at least $500 to produce a high-quality video of about 2-5 minutes long.

It’s also slow because a lot of time is needed to come up with the idea for the video, shoot the video, produce the audio, edit the video, upload the video, and more. You have to do all these before the money starts coming in.

Worry not, there’s another way! Fortunately, there’s an easy way of making money on YouTube without spending too much money and wasting too much time.

Let’s dive in and see how you can make money on youtube by reuploading videos.

I created a FREE YouTube checklist to help out as well https://shellyhopkins.com/100k-youtube

Re-uploading Videos On YouTube

Reuploading videos on youtube is pretty easy. You just get videos on youtube, get them remixed, and post them on your channel. That way, you can make money from your YouTube without doing much work or spending much.

You don’t have to create video scripts, produce videos, edit them, or even think of a video idea concept. All you need to do is get videos online, download them, cut/split them, maybe add or subtract one or two things and upload them on your channel.

Some big YouTubers use this method because it is much easier to use other people’s videos than going through the stress of having to create your own from scratch. You only need to make sure not to violate any copyright regulations.

Here’s how to go about reuploading videos on YouTube to make money.

Find Your Niche

Your niche is that particular area in which you want to specialize with your YouTube channel.

There are several niches you can start a YouTube channel in such as ten best things, animals, movies, entertainment, and so on.

Pick a niche you’re interested in and take a look at YouTube channels that are popular in that niche. Check out the top 10 channels, and that have the most subscribers. Look at their videos and sort them by the most popular ones.

By doing this, you’ll get to know what type of content is doing great on YouTube and how you can mimic not copy what they’re doing.

For instance, let’s assume you find a video on YouTube with the title “the most dangerous prison inmates” with about 1.9 million views while the YouTuber’s account has 296,000 subscribers which is a lot.

This video is doing great and is a good place to start from and mimic.

Making The Video

To make your video, you need to take small parts of their videos, and add other clips to them. You can only do this for 13 seconds.

If you need pictures to add, you can use a site like Pixabay to get images. You add the different pieces of videos together and collate them to create your own. compilation.

Also, you can use a site like Pexels to get free footage and clips from other successful YouTube channels. Plus, there is Envato Elements also but you have to pay $17 per month to use it.

You can use any or all of the above sites but you have to remember the 13-second rule. Then, if you want to add a voice-over to the compilation, you need to get one done.

Or you can outsource everything by going to freelancing sites like Fiverr and Upwork.

Go to Fiverr and when you type in voiceover, you’ll get freelancers that create voiceovers and they’re quite affordable. The prices depend on the freelancer you want to hire.

Also, if you wanted to have a video editor which is going to be a little bit more expensive, you can get freelancers from Upwork.

You could also outsource your thumbnails creation and get someone to do that for you on Fiverr

If you find someone you like, it’ll be better if you make the freelancer a full-time, permanent freelancer to help you with your tasks.

When you find a freelancer, reach out to them and tell them you plan on doing this long term so they can give you even at a cheaper rate too.

Editing Your Video

After getting all parts of your video, take all the individual snippets and pull it all together to make a compilation.

Now, there’s a bunch of free software to edit your videos like Movie Maker but you need to have a MacBook to use that.

There’s Open Shot OBS which is good too and free. Also, you can use Filmora 9 but you have to pay $59 which is the only amount you ever have to pay forever. After paying the lifetime amount, you get free updates, and it’s straightforward to use.

All you need to do is add some pictures
and if you have music and a voice-over, then place them in your video.

Monetization

You can make money by getting your YouTube channel monetized through YouTube Adsense or in an alternative way.

If you’re gonna get monetized through AdSense, you need to have a thousand subscribers and four thousand watch hours.

The alternative way to get monetized is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing rewards you for your marketing efforts when you make sales on behalf of another business or individual.

You enter into an affiliate partnership with a third party business, individual or company, you promote their product or services and get a percentage of the sale when you make sales.

The individual or business also takes a percentage of the sale which makes affiliate marketing a win-win.

You are helping your audience by recommending good, quality products or services to them to get through your affiliate link. Everybody wins.

Affiliate marketing is evergreen and can make you passive income, eventually. It could be slow at first but the more content you upload, the more traction you get, and the more money you will be able to make.

Combining this monetization strategy with having AdSense on your channel, you’ll make a lot of money.

Plus, you can also divert traffic from your YouTube channel to your site or blog so you can make extra money by selling your products and services.

How Much Does A YouTuber Make?

If you’re wondering how much a Youtuber makes, from AdSense, Google usually takes about 45% of the earnings.

So a YouTuber can earn about $3 – $9 per 1,000 ad views. You might see it as a small amount of money but some YouTubers like Pewdiepie make about $7.8million per month from YouTube which is a lot of money.

Starting with quality video content, an average YouTuber can make about $5000 which is a pretty decent sum if you ask me.

Final Words

One good thing about YouTube is that you don’t essentially have to create content to make money from the platform.

You can just remix some already made videos and piggyback off another’s person’s efforts.

This would take some time before you can start making money from it. And it will also take a bit of innovation and individuality from your end as you’ll need to produce something creative, tangible, and shareworthy.

Note that all of the rules and regulations for creative commons videos are also applicable to creative commons music. You can use music you have the privilege to use.
