How To Start Affiliate Marketing For Beginners In 2021

In this post, I will show you how to do affiliate marketing step-by-step for beginners.
No, I’m not going to sell you something, but I will give you a free course at the end of this post to get you started on affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is one of the popular ways to get sales and generate revenue online. Since the rapid growth of affiliate marketers, it is evident that affiliate marketing is here to stay.
If you want a way of getting revenue, but you don’t know how to start, here is your guide.

What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting another person’s/company’s goods or services in exchange for a particular amount of commission when you make a sale.
According to Super Metrics, affiliate marketing is a million-dollar industry that many people benefit from.
Statistics also show that about 80% of publishers and advertisers in the United States Of America have turned to affiliate marketers. Most online shoppers research information before buying a product.
Before getting started with affiliate marketing, you need to find a niche.
Pick A Niche
Niche is like a category you want to focus on. However, people say it; you have to pick a niche to focus on while doing affiliate marketing.
You can choose from various niches, including sewing, marketing, weight loss, fitness, and more.
After choosing a niche, you can also choose from software and physical products to promote.
The most popular niches are health, wealth, and love because they sell the most. And I picked wealth because I teach people how to make money online.
While I do that, I always stress how you should always do affiliate marketing no matter what you sell.
Find Products
Next, you need to find products that you like or that you use. For example, all of the products that I promote are software and programs that I like and have used.
You should order the product you want to promote and see if you liked it before selling it to everybody else.
There are various platforms you get to explore to find products to promote as an affiliate.
Amazon Associates
Amazon has a robust marketplace with a variety of products to promote. You can go on to the site, log in or join for free and search for products you can promote.
Then, you need to grab your link once you find the right products to promote. You could even talk to your family or a friend and tell them to use your link when they want to order from Amazon.
Affiliate marketing is a win-win game, and you earn money while they get their products with no additional cost to them.
ClickBank
ClickBank is a top-rated affiliate network and contains a variety of products from various niches.
It’s free to sign up on ClickBank, and the only thing they may sometimes ask you for is a website.
Once you get approved on ClickBank, go to the marketplace and scroll down to see the kinds of products they have.
From arts, health, and entertainment, you’ll always find quality products to promote.
When you find an excellent product to promote, all you do is just click on promote, and then the system generates a hop link for promotional use.
JVZoo
There’s also JVZoo, where you can find a ton of products to promote.
It’s a good affiliate network, especially if you want to find products that are new and just about to launch.
Shorten Your Links
You should also make sure you shorten your affiliate links. Most affiliate networks and programs will give you long, ugly links to promote their products.
Go to a link shortening site like Bitly and shorten your link. So when you want to post or insert your affiliate link, you’ll put your shortened link from Bitly.
Giving Value With Affiliate Marketing
Once you have your affiliate links, you’re all set and ready to promote your desired products and make money.
You can go on Facebook and post content on your Facebook page, providing value. You have to give value to make sales.
Create value posts centered around the products and talk about the product.
You can also provide value using YouTube videos and TikTok and help your audience achieve their goals.
Tell your unique story and use your story to help your audience while selling in the process.
Use Sales Funnels
Sales funnels are another strategy you can use to promote your products as an affiliate.
Take your affiliate links for various products, create a sales funnel, and put it in there.
You should also collect email addresses to build your email list. Just as the old saying goes, the money is on the list.
Your email list is going to be the essential thing in your online business.
No matter what you’re selling, you should always try to get your audience on your email list.
It’s the only traffic source you can own. To get your audience to give you their email addresses, you need to have a squeeze page in your funnel.
A squeeze page is a landing page that’s built to collect email addresses from your visitors.
Then, their details go to your email autoresponder so you can follow-up on themes.
After they opt-in and enter their email addresses, you should also have a thank you page where you thank them for subscribing and give them a link to your lead magnet or freebie.
The software you can use to build these pages and sales funnel is DropFunnels. You can create funnels in DropFunnels and promote your products and build your email address.
Another solution suited for this purpose is ClickFunnels. It’s excellent, costs $97 per month, and you’re limited to 20 funnels.
GrooveFunnels is a new sales funnels solution with a free plan that gets you three free funnels. But to get more than three, you need to pay about $100 a month.
I’ve also tried BuilderAll, and it’s quite good, cheap but sucks at times. Just choose the best software that fits your needs and budget and go with it.
Use An Autoresponder
Now that you have found a way to collect your audience’s email addresses, you need to find a way to store the email addresses and send them valuable email content.
This email content offered to your list will trigger them to buy something, and it could be automated via an autoresponder.
You can send him emails daily about the product you’re promoting to educate them and tell them about it.
Using your autoresponder, you can tell them about your niche and follow up to ensure they buy your product.
There are several autoresponder software available, including AWeber and ActiveCampaign.
AWeber has a free plan for an email list of up to 500, and then you start paying monthly when your list exceeds that number.
I prefer ActiveCampaign, and even though it could be a little bit more confusing than AWeber, it is more powerful and does so much more.
It’s one of the best email autoresponders out there, and it’s so much better.
Traffic
Let’s take a look at how you can get traffic to your products and offers. Without traffic, you won’t make money.
And it’s better to have traffic for free than to have to pay for it. When it comes to paid traffic, you can try Facebook ads or Google Ads.
Alternatively, you can try promoting your products organically, like on your Facebook page. Make sure your Facebook page or profile is well-optimized for conversions.
You could also have a Facebook group where you’ll teach your audience and help them become better with their business.
One of my favorite traffic sources is also YouTube. I spend more time coaching people for online videos and creating content on YouTube, and I also put out a video a week.
TikTok is another avenue to explore in promoting your affiliate products. Currently, I have 50,000 followers on TikTok, and it’s so easy to create content for the platform.
I just goof off, provide value and get tons of traffic from there to my offer.
